What is needed for a solar power system ?

Composition of home solar power systems:

The solar photovoltaic power generation system is composed of solar cell array (photovoltaic module), controller, battery pack, inverter and other parts.

 

1. Solar cell array (photovoltaic module):

It is the core and the most important part of the solar power generation system. Its function is to convert the solar energy into electric energy and send it to the storage battery for storage, or to drive the load to work.

 

2. Controller:

As one of the core components of photovoltaic power generation system, it generally has the following functions:

 

(1) Signal detection light

 

The conditions and parameters of various devices and units of the solar power system for home. The physical quantities detected include input voltage, charging current.

Output voltage, output current and battery temperature rise.

 

(2) The optimal charging control is based on the current solar energy resources

Conditions and battery status determine the best charging mode to achieve efficient and fast charging.

(3) Battery discharge management

Manage the battery discharge process, such as automatic switch on/off of load control to achieve soft start and prevent load connection

Wrong protection caused by voltage drop at the home backup batteries terminal when entering.

(4) Inverter in equipment protection control system

Overvoltage caused by fault and overcurrent caused by load short circuit.

(5) The operation status is indicated by the indicator light

 

The display indicates the operation status and fault information of the photovoltaic system.

3. Battery pack:

The role of the battery is to store the electrical energy generated by the solar cell array when it is illuminated and discharge to the load at any time.

The basic requirements are:

(1) Low self discharge rate

(2) Long service life

(3) Strong deep discharge capacity

(4) High charging efficiency

(5) Less or no maintenance

(6) Wide operating temperature range

(7) Low price. At present, lead-acid batteries are mainly used for solar power systems for home in China.

4. Inverter:

Inverter is a device that converts direct current generated by photovoltaic power generation into alternating current. Photovoltaic inverter plays an important role in maintaining balance in photovoltaic system and can be used together with general AC power supply equipment.
